I’m April Likins – a health and wellness entrepreneur who left the 9-to-5 grind to find balance and to pursue my deeper passions: Spending more time with my husband and fur babies, traveling and sharing healthy living tips with others.
Here’s part my story…
It all started when my father was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer at 49. Devastated and motivated to help prolong his life, I wanted to understand what factors (besides genetics) could have been to blame. I was also beginning to deal with some of my own underlying chronic health issues.
What I found when I set out on this journey was jaw-dropping. I discovered what we put in and on our bodies can have a profound effect on our overall health.As I began to switch to a whole foods and gluten-free lifestyle, started using cleaner beauty products, and focusing on mindfulness, I began to notice significant improvements not only in how I felt but in my entire quality of life.
It’s been a personal journey for me and so my passion for clean living and helping others was born.
After my father passed away, I became a firm believer that our biggest hardships and heartaches in life can become our biggest passions and catalyst for change. No matter what we go through, there’s always a silver lining, and there can be tremendous healing when we share what we’ve learned with others.

Having dealt with the devastating effects of chronic illnesses myself like Lyme Disease and Endometriosis, I’m incredibly compassionate toward and an advocate for those suffering with debilitating, invisible illnesses. My greater desire is to share what I’ve learned along the way and to live a life of impact.
Along with my blog, I am an Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Duke University Integrative Medicine trained health coach, a creative at heart, a believer, and a travel lover. I’m truly grateful to do what I love every day and I look forward to sharing the journey with you!
